5 out of 5 stars better than I thought   October 31, 2008

I have just enter the field of neuroscience, so I bought this poster and put it in my bedroom. It's a little expensive, but the quality of the paper has a glossy layer. Minor cons: for a fasting advancing field like neuroscience, it's not strange that some of the caption is actually outdated. Such as the function of astrocyte is written as "support" while recent research have show that it also adjusts blood flow. But most of the caption should be correct.

Perfect teaching tool for someone to learn about the brain. I would have made good use of it to teach my children in school when they had difficult questions.

5 out of 5 stars I Love My Brain   December 23, 2008

I decided I needed a brain model or chart after reading the book titled "On Intelligence" by Jeff Hawkins. I highly recommend the book, and I was thrilled when I opened the tube and removed my new brain chart. It's very large and colorful, and full of insight just like my actual brain! This chart is not only laminated but it also has rivets in the top two corners so it can be hung well. Just like me! I really love my brain chart. Why I feel smarter just looking at it.

5 out of 5 stars A surprise for Christmas   January 3, 2010
Linda Rising (Phoenix, AZ United States)
I ordered several "brain things" for myself for Christmas. I'm not a medical student, but I wanted some kind of study aid that would help me as I read books and articles about brain anatomy. This chart was one of those things. When I opened it I was really surprised. It is big. It is perfect for a wall in my den. It is detailed but not overwhelming and I have already learned several things about the brain simply because I can see these photos for myself. Another plus--there was no shipping charge. What a nice Christmas gift for me!
