good skull for the price June 7, 2007 M. Obee 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
At under $20.00, this is a good buy. THe lower jaw is attached securely with 2 wire springs that allow for jaw movement. You can manipulate the jaw so that it does not match up as easily as you can place the jaw correctly. I mention this only because I don't know that the springs would hold up being passed around a classroom time and again. The material is a plastic compound that feels durable and light weight but not overly thin. This skull is for my daughter to use as a model for art so perfection is not an issue. Consider this evaluation in that light.
good product May 19, 2007 P. Miller (Tidewater, VA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
skull model is adequately detailed and is constructed well, so that it is not fragile. very satisfied, for instructional use.
Another use for a life size skull February 6, 2010 Bob M (Long Island NY) I drilled out the eye sockets and put 12 volt amber bulbs in it (using epoxy) and created a rear package shelf decoration for my 58 Chevy, the eyes light up when I step on the brakes. This type of item was available "back in the day" when cars were cool!!, but was unavailable now (as a reproduction)so I made my own. It's a big hit at the car shows and is functional while driving.
It's okay for the price. September 5, 2007 Zart (Planet Earth) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted a realistic skull without breaking the bank. For the price this works. It was a second. The teeth aren't that great looking and the jaw was a bit warped so it didn't fit right. A few minutes with an exacto knife and a heat gun and you'd never know. Granted it isn't nearly as good as the ones in the anatomy department back in my college days but most everything you need to make the first impression is there. Its especially great because it is just two pieces and the top doesn't come off like an anatomy lesson skull. Really good for getting some laughs.
OK Product November 12, 2008 John D. Caldwell 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The upper teeth on the skull were sanded down too far when it was made. This is not a problem with the seller, but with the production house.
