| Customer Reviews: Great first 'scope! November 4, 2007 penthesilea (Portland, OR) My four year old had been begging for a microscope of his own. I didn't want to get him anything too heavy, breakable or complex. This was perfect. It is easy to use and has survived several drops to the ground. I wouldn't get this one for a child over the age of six or seven.
It's a piece of junk! August 27, 2006 Susan E. Emerick (Largo, FL) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this for my son's 9th birthday. The light stopped working seconds after putting in the battery. The entire Magniscope literally fell apart within five minutes. Don't waste your money!
Might as well put on glasses with someone else's prescription April 5, 2010 G. Thompson (St. Louis, MO) This item doesn't even work. The little light that you are suppose to stick into the base to be able to even see anything isn't bright enough. There is no point in using the focus knob because you are never able to actually see anything. If you take it out of the base to carry around, which is a great idea, still doesn't matter, you can't see anything....Expensive and a waste of money!!!
